My name’s Lonnie. I’m a Brisbane based writer, filmmaker and podcaster.
This is a selection of my creative output – filmmaking, short stories, theatre, podcasts, strong opinions about Paddington – it’s all here.
In 2023 I was awarded the 2023 Tom Brock Scholarship for my research into depictions of rugby league in film.
In addition to the work featured here, I have written for The Roar and The Australasian Journal of Popular Culture.
I also once wrote a joke: I went camping in the backyard last night. Nothing to write home about.
And I recently wrote another joke: I tried to scare someone with a couple of ferns but it didn’t work. I should have known that two fronds don’t make a fright.
