I haven’t written anything on here for ages. I’ve been a bit slack with uni and other writing. I’ve changed my course for next semester into something more creative so hopefully I’ll have more time to write about things I want to. Productivity is the key but it’s so hard to find.
My first big idea for this blog was to write about a silly idea I had – what movie would you take to a desert island?
This was prompted Everybody Wants Some!!, the new Richard Linklater film. I thought while watching it that Linklater’s movies are so effortless and easy to watch, I’d never get bored of them. And so, if I was stuck on a desert island, I’d love to have something of his to watch (assuming, somehow, I have TV, electricity etc). Any my first thought was I’d have Before Sunset, my favourite Linklater movie.
Before I got stuck into writing the post I decided to look online to see if anyone else had written about this topic. It’s not the most original hypothetical situation so I was sure somebody had. The first post was this.
As you’ll notice, it is the exact same scenario. And the exact same film is number one.

Of course, it doesn’t stop me writing my article. One day I’ll get around to writing about why I love the Before series so much. It just doesn’t seem like much point to do it in this way, when somebody’s beaten me to the punch. But at least I’ve found somebody else who I’d be happy to spend an afternoon with watching movies on a desert island.
